Convicted Child Molester Ronnie Champion






Investigators believe a convicted sex offender, who was arrested earlier this week, may be responsible for sexually assaulting an unknown number of underage males, authorities said.  Ronnie Champion was arrested Tuesday at his home in Long Beach on suspicion of sending child pornography through the Internet.

Champion was convicted in 2010 for annoying or molesting children, and again in 2011 for lewd or lascivious acts with a child. He was arrested again Tuesday after authorities say he began a conversation with what he thought was an underage boy.

Ronnie Champion was arrested Tuesday at his home in Long Beach on suspicion of sending child pornography through the internet. Champion was convicted in 2010 for annoying or molesting children, and again in 2011 for lewd or lascivious acts with a child. He was arrested again Tuesday after authorities say he began a conversation with what he thought was an underage boy.Authorities said that on June 2011 , Under the alias "MegatronBomb!",  Champion began a sexually explicit conversation online with someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy. In actuality, Champion was chatting with an undercover officer from Keene, New Hampshire.


During those conversations, authorities said Champion sent images to the officer. A search warrant was issued for Champion’s home on the 24000 block of  Long Beach. Members of the FBI’s SAFE Task Force and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department seized computers and other devices from Champion’s home.














Evidence has led investigators to believe that several other males have been sexually assaulted by Champion.
Anyone who has had contact with Ismay in the past, or anyone who knows of individuals who may have had contact with Champion, is asked to contact the FBI’s Los Angeles SAFE Task Force at 714-245-2576.
